Lovely Liz

Okay this is going to be a long post of pictures of Liz, our model from yesterday, but I can’t help it! I liked so many of these! :) Anyway, here they all are. Woo!

I LOVE shooting in RAW! I don’t know how I haven’t been before now. :) So much editing flexibility!

Focus 1:

Focus 2 (which do you like better?):

Love this one! Love the windows.

Ok so I love this shot of her, but its not quite right, but I’m not sure how to fix it. I tried a million and a half different crops, but couldn’t decide. It’s between the original (this one) and the one crop I could sort of decide on (the one beneath this one). Which do you like better? And any suggestions for other crops or edits are welcome. :)

So there’s Liz! Thanks, Liz! :) (There was also a baby there to model for us, but ohmyGAH do babies move around a lot, so I think I need more practice on that. Only one of my shots really turned out cute. I have crazy respect for child photographers. Whew.)

Anyway. If you’re a novice photographer, take Shauna’s Crash Course. Do it. Now. She’ll be back here in May. :)

On the first one I liked Focus 1 better. And on the second one I liked the first crop in black and white better. Liz appeared more balanced. And something Dad taught me was to put a white poster board at the feet to reflect the light back on the face when they’re wearing hats. I think you did good in your first class :-)
